This painting started as a larger still-life of pumpkins but somehow the mice crept in! It reminded me of the Cinderella fairytale. I'd wanted to use gold leaf for sometime, so this was my opportunity - in went the gold coach and the background has written exerts from the story.  Maybe the mice may appear eating other foodsometime!
